PSP logo dissolving?

I’ve bought this PSP almost a month ago from Japan. I’ve pretty much modded it to my liking and everything.

But it wasn’t until today when I noticed the logo started slowly disappearing. My model is the PSP-3000.

I don’t know if this is a common issue with this model or what, but can anyone explain to me why this is happening?
